Managed by StarGuide Entertainment (also known as SG ENT), a company that focuses on craft, nurturing talent, and artist self-expression and exploration. Initially an actor and theatre company, SG ENT decided to venture into music and modeling by creating st5rchuu.The scouting and creation of st5rchuuIn 2022, SG ENT announced they were hosting a global casting call for their girl group “unnamed”, as well as scouting trainees online, through other companies, and in person. Since unnamed was their first time making a group with the k-pop model, they decided they didn’t want to have trainees like it’s customary, and instead focused all their energy on finding the exact members that would make unnamed a well-balanced group that could break the mold. Through casting, they selected the members based on individual charms, talent, and what SG ENT thought they could bring into the group and their overall synergy.They first found members Bebe and Hari through global auditions. Then, they found Naoko through a dance academy because her teacher submitted her for the group. Shortly after, they found Haniel through her Instagram, where she would post her modeling and short videos of her singing. Finally, after a lot of searching and asking around in other companies, they found Dawn, an extremely talented vocalist who hadn’t been accepted as a trainee anywhere due to being transfemme. After a year of searching, in 2023 the training period for unnamed had started.They trained for 2 years on skills they were lacking; members took singing, dancing, modeling, acting, music (including producing and instrument playing), language, and business classes individually and by choice or recommendation from management, on what the members now call their “training school days” (and sometimes jokingly referred to as their “‘get better’ bootcamp”).In 2025, both the members and management decided on a name for the group, and St5rchuu was officially announced, entering the predebut period.Predebut periodAfter being announced, the st5rchuu members gained a small following for different reasons. Bebe and Hari had fanbases in both of their home countries (Sweden and India respectively), the lgbtq+ community wanted to support Dawn on her debut, along with Hari who was the only openly out member as bisexual at the time. Naoko was already known in ballet and dancing circles, and Haniel already had a significant following by the time she was scouted. Additionally, they hosted a couple of livestreams so people could get to know them better. On the last stream, they announced the fanbase name as starling, a combination of the words “star” and “darling”.This time period was when Starling Global was born.Debutin 2026, they announced their debut was in the works.
